Rachael Parenta, a native to New Jersey, began her comedy career in Portland, OR She placed 3rd in the Portland Comedy Challenge and drove possibly millions of miles all over the Northwest bringing laughter to small towns and big cities. She’s had the opportunity to perform at Harvey’s Comedy Club, The Seattle Comedy Underground with the Ha Ha Sisterhood and LA’s famed Comedy Store.
Rachael’s comedy is high energy and engaging.. Ms. Parenta’s perspective gives subjects such as family, pop culture, dating, and disproportionately small-handed men an absurd bent. She has also been known to break out the guitar and serenade crowds with original songs about the benefits of alcohol, how her apartment manager is the devil, and reciprocal love.
The future looks bright for this comedic dynamo. She was featured in Time Out New York had several short plays produced, an essay published along side Carrie Fisher in the collection entitled What Was I Thinking?!, contributed writings to the snarky website Gawker.com, was featured in the New York Underground Comedy Festival’s Emerging Comics Showcase, has appeared at the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston, and most recently is the co-headliner of the live comedy show “Please, Someone Kill Me!” She can be seen performing in NYC’s downtown scene as well as small towns and big cities throughout the US.
